Did you know about the price change of the Canon? Well, at first, the first Canon cost just 420 yen, which is equal to 3.06€. Whilst now the most expensive Canon costs up to 12 000 dollars; which is equal to 9 433€. So... there is quite a lot of difference.

Its history...
The History of the Canon
It all started in Japan
where the first 35mm focal-plane shutter rangefinder camera was made and
introduced to the market. It started with several errors but bit by bit the
Canon cameras were corrected. It was invented by a Japanese man whose name was
Goro Yoshida (1900-1993). The first shop to sell these cameras was the
“Precision Optical Instruments Laboratory”.
